Blogcrush Week 22 – 14th July 2017

Blogcrush week 22 – here we come! And WHAT a week it’s been! In case you haven’t seen, Lucy At Home has expanded and now includes a little t-shirt shop. We launched on Tuesday. It is exciting and terrifying at the same time. It may take off overnight, it may be a complete flop, BUT it was super fun doing some designing and who knows what the future holds.

This linky is unique. We ask our bloggers to share 1 post that they’ve written themselves and 1 post that they’ve enjoyed by someone else. That means we get some of the best posts from the whole blogisphere linked up here each week! It also means we have some of the nicest bloggers because they’re all about sharing and building each other up (you guys are amazing!)

Lucy At Home Blogcrush Week 22

Wendy and I have been having a chat about how to improve this little linky. We are so grateful to all of you who link up and we want to get you as many comments in return as possible. So we’ve decided to change the rules a bit.

We still want you to comment on 4 posts but instead of having to comment on 1 personal post & 1 blogcrush post from the main list, we want you to comment on 2 personal posts.

Old rules

Comment on at least these 4 posts:

  • 1 of the Lucy’s posts (personal or BC)
  • 1 of the Wendy’s posts (personal or BC)
  • 1 personal post
  • 1 blog crush post

New rules

Comment on at least these 4 posts:

  • 1 of the Lucy’s posts (personal or BC)
  • 1 of the Wendy’s posts (personal or BC)
  • 2x personal posts

We figure that you guys deserve some extra comments because you’re the ones doing the hard work of linking up, etc. And the people you’ve blogcrushed will still get at least one comment from the linky because Wendy and I comment on every post that is linked up.

And obviously, the 4 comments is the minimum – feel free to comment on any extra posts you wish. It’s definitely true that the more you put  in, the more you get out.

We hope you like the new rules and that it makes the linky even better for you guys 🙂

The Rules

  • Join in with 2 posts:
    • 1 post from your blog (personal) – no linkies please
    • 1 post from someone else’s blog (your #BlogCrush)
  • **When you add the URL of your BlogCrush to the InLinkz form, put “BC” at the beginning of their title**
  • Tweet your BlogCrush (& us) to let them know you’ve added them to the linky
  • Comment using the #BlogCrush hashtag on at least these 4 posts:
    • 1 of the Lucy’s posts (personal or BC)
    • 1 of the Wendy’s posts (personal or BC)
    • 2x personal posts
  • Add the #BlogCrush badge to the post that you’re linking up from your own blog. You can do this by copying the gobblydygook code in the box below and pasting it into the HTML view of your post.

But have no fear – this little post will have you inspired in no time! 48 activities that are easy to do in and around the house, to fill out that time when you’re not on your ACTUAL holiday!

I’ve commented and laughed and laughed and I think I injured myself (totally worth it), I think my #Blogcrush-ing is now out of control. Stalking, I mean following even more bloggers (if that’s humanly possible) and shared and just generally had a great time.
I left one link to my latest post (I’ve been a sunslacker this summer, I promise I’ll get back to blogging, but I have about 600 posts, so feel free to have your way with my archives) and another link to my #blogcrush – Teagan, she’s aware of my adoration of her blog and her magical writing, my copy of her book, ‘Atonement, Tennessee’ is so dogeared I bought myself a Kindle ebook of it, so I can wear it out on my phone and tablet too lol.
Thank you kindly, Lucy and Wendy, for your tireless support of bloggers and to everyone who participated today, this is a blogging goldmine and I can’t say thank you enough. 🙂
Hope this weekend is treating everyone kindly and all the best for summer and beyond. 🙂
