Give Him What He Wants: The Idle Man Valentines Gift Guide

Collaborative Post

It feels like Christmas is only just over, but Valentine’s Day is on the horizon already! And I’ve been contacted by The Idle Man to come up with a list of my top Valentines gifts For Him.

The Idle Man is a menswear-based retailer with a wide range of well-known brands such as Farah, Champion and Dickies. They also have a blog called The Idle Man Manual, where they advise on everything from style and music to grooming and lifestyle.

All of my picks today are from The Idle Man range. As a blogger, I think it is important to give honest reviews and share any negatives that I found, but I have to admit that I have been really impressed – the clothes are of great quality and the website was easy to navigate.

If you’ve got a style-conscious man to buy for this year, then make sure you check out The Idle Man first.

Hubby has always loved clothes and I remember going shopping with him very early on in our relationship (before we were officially dating). An elderly lady pottered over to me, patted my hand and said, “He likes shopping? That’s a keeper, for sure!” I was mortified as I was in total denial about my feelings for this strapping young Welshman… However, this year will be our 10 year wedding anniversary so I guess she was right after all!

8 Valentine’s Day Gifts from The Idle Man

Premium Pique Polo Shirt

Navy | £18 | Website

The Idle Man Short Sleeve Navy Polo Shirt

I love polo shirts – so classic! This one has a striking white band around the collar and sleeves, and is sure to go with anything. Hubby’s go-to outfit is a polo-shirt-and-jeans combo, and, as his arms are my favourite bit, that definitely works for me!

ZigZag Knitted Jumper

Grey | £30 | Website

The Idle Man ZigZag Grey Jumper

This jumper is quite a step away from what my Hubby usually wears but it just jumped out at me! I love the textures in the design and, being grey, it’s sure to go with everything. Plus, horizontal stripes are really flattering on him, so I’m sure I can persuade him on this one!

Classic Zip-Through Hoodie

Burgundy | £25 | Website

The Idle Man Zip Through Burgundy Hoodie

Burgundy is everywhere this season and you just can’t go wrong with a hoodie! This one has a lovely fleece inner so it will be an easy-to-wear extra layer (I can’t be the only one whose partner insists on going out in short sleeves in the middle of winter??).

Original Cuffed Beanie

Black | £8 | Website

The Idle Man Black Beanie Hat Cuffed

I’m always surprised how cold it is in February. Keep him warm with this stretchy black Beanie hat. Hubby has a notoriously big head and this is a one-size-fits-all deal, but I tried it on myself and I think it will be a good fit (and I’ll have it myself if not! Haha).

Rugby Shirt

Burgundy & Navy | £30 | Website

The Idle Man Burgundy Rugby Shirt

I love a man in a rugby shirt! Plus Hubby is a Welshman so rugby is in his blood. This top is sure to be a hit and it features the two must-have colours of the season so it’s totally on-trend.

Printed Check Cord Shirt

Navy | £28 | Website

The Idle Man Navy Corduroy Shirt

You can’t have a men’s gift guide without a stylish shirt on there, and this corduroy-textured offering from The Idle Man is perfect. The navy blue check pattern is a nice detail without being overly fussy, and the material is very soft (perfect for cuddling into!).

Sherpa Lined Parka

Green | £75 | Website

The Idle Man Sherpa Lined Parka Green

This is my favourite pick! The Sherpa lining and thick padding make this a very practical coat, but we all know that a Parka carries a timeless style with it too. The large pockets mean there is no excuse to clutter up your handbag with his stuff plenty of room for his stuff, and the hidden internal pocket is a great addition.

Varsity Stripe Scarf

Black & Grey | £12 | Website

The Idle Man Grey Black Varsity Scarf

Hubby has so many scarves, but I was drawn to the simplicity of this one (and it will go great with the black beanie hat above too!). It is a lot warmer than it looks from the picture as it is double thickness, but be aware that it is hand wash only.

So those are my top picks for Valentine’s Day from The Idle Man. Which did you like best? Is your man interested in fashion or does he have his own style? What are your plans for Valentine’s Day? Let me know in the comments section below.

Disclosure: This is a collaborative post with The Idle Man, but I chose these items myself and all opinions are my own. The product photos are taken from The Idle Man website and used with permission. For more information, please check out my disclosure policy.

I’ve not heard of this website before, but these picks looks fab so I’m definitely going to check it out! My husband is soooo hard to buy clothes for, half the time he doesn’t even know what he likes himself but there looks like lots of choice from the Idle Man, so between us we should be able to refresh his wardrobe!
