The Dads To Grandads Gift Guide, Father’s Day 2018
Collaborative Post
Father’s Day is just around the corner and, I don’t know about you, but I always struggle to know what to buy. Both my father and my father-in-law have birthdays in June, as well as it being Father’s Day. That means I have to think of two great gift ideas each, as well as something for hubby!
So I’ve put together a comprehensive list of presents for everyone in the dads to grandads category! I’d like to say a big thank you to all the brands who’ve helped inspire me with this list – there’s so much variety from fashion to outdoorsy things, hobbies to books.
Right let’s dive in…
The dads to grandads gift guide
Green Check Tweed Waistcoat
Dobell | £39.99 | Website
This waistcoat is perfect for dads to grandads – you can dress it down by rolling your shirt sleeves up or go all out with a matching bow tie! The back is adjustable so the fit can be altered, which is always useful when you’re buying a gift for someone else.
The waistcoat is dry clean only, though, so if you’ve got little ones, you’ll need to keep it away from their sticky fingers!
Personalised Workshop Hook
Personally Presented | £22.49 | Website
My dad can fix anything (like the time I accidentally made a huge hole in the wall, or the time I clumsily dropped a pint of Blackcurrant juice all over my laptop!), so I know this set of four hooks for his garage will go down a treat. The perfect gift for any DIY dads! And you can add their name to it too.
Craft Beer Discovery Box
Flavourly | £25 | Website
The Flavourly discovery boxes are always packed with something exciting and different. Hubby’s box had 20 cans of lager and ale and two stylish glasses to drink them from. I know he’s going to love making his way through these – there was one infused with chocolate and raspberries, one with a spritz of pineapple, and one with a hint of mango called “Flamingo Juice”.
You can choose to send a single box for £25 or pay for a few which will be sent out one per month.
Papa Bear T-Shirt
Lucy At Home | £20 | Website
Our very own Papa Bear t-shirt is very popular at this time of year. Tell daddy to wear his bear ears with pride and let the world know he is one super dad!
Plus, you’ll get all the happy feels from knowing you’re buying from an independent store as all our t-shirts are designed and sold by yours truly!
RAF 100: The Official Story
Carlton Books | £25 | Website
Everyone from dads to grandads will love this book all about the history of the RAF (Royal Air Force). 2018 marks 100 years since the RAF was formed and this beautiful book documents it all, showcasing lots of stunning photos and sharing the fascinating missions they’ve been on.
Paying The Price: 1000 Piece Jigsaw
Wasgij | £12.99 | Website (aff)
If you’ve got any jigsaw fans in your family, then this car puzzle is sure to be a hit. But Wasjig puzzles always have a little twist to them – this time, the jigsaw you will be creating is a modern-day version of the picture you see on the box! So you have to use your imagination and bring this vintage scene into the 21st Century! Tricky!
Multi Grooming Kit
Braun | £37.49 | Website
Facial hair is most definitely “in” at the moment, and this neat little kit is perfect for keeping beards precise and body hair at bay. The multi grooming kit is an electric razor with attachments and it also comes with a standard Gillette razor too. It was smaller than I expected but its compact size makes it great for overnight stays.
VW Barbecue Hamper
Find Me A Gift | £39.99 | Website
This has to be one of the quirkiest items on my dads to grandads gift list, and I absolutely love it! The metal handles and frame of this blue VW hamper flip over to become a cute BBQ stand! It can adjust to hold different sizes of disposable barbecue and it’s really easy to convert back into a bag.
Everyone knows that dads love to barbecue so why not get him one of his very own! Haha.
Father’s Day Cards
Hallmark | Website
Hallmark do cards, and they do them well! So if you’re looking for a great choice of Father’s Day Cards, check out their Amazone store. There are sincere cards, funny cards, stylish cards, and even cards with badges – all to tell dad that you’re thinking of him!
Batman & Robin Itty Bittys
Hallmark | £13.99 | Website (aff)
We reviewed the Disney Princess Itty Bittys last year, and these Superhero ones are just as fabulous! The Itty Bittys are plush soft toys that stand about 13cm (5”) tall – a lovely, low cost gift for any superhero dads out there!
And if comics aren’t really his thing, you could look some of the other characters in the Itty Bitty range, including Yoda from StarWars, Jack Sparrow from Pirates of the Caribbean, and the Tin Man from Wizard of Oz.
Body Shaving Products
Nivea | £4.50+ | Website (aff)
Everyone from dads to grandads deserves a little pampering now and again. These lovely body shaving products smell wonderful and make a nice little Father’s Day Gift from the kids. Nivea are also official partners of Liverpool Football Club so this is a gift for the footy fans!
Sweetie Jar
Retro Sweet | £25 | Website
A father’s day gift that can be enjoyed by the whole family! Haha. This 4.5L bottle is packed full of all his favourite sweets – cola bottles, fried eggs, bananas, rainbow drops, and many more! Plus you can personalise the label to make it truly unique gift.
LED Headlight
Summit | £10.73 | Website (aff)
Hubby loves all things gadgets and so as soon as this 3W LED headlight arrived, he was already tearing into the packaging! The light is very bright and can be set to either a wide beam or a spotlight. It can also be tilted in different directions. We’re going camping in a few weeks and I know this nifty device will be coming with us!
United Seven Tee
Art of Football | £25| Website
Art of Football create fab t-shirt and sweater designs based on their love of the beautiful game. Hubby chose this interesting design which features Manchester United’s most iconic number 7 shirts.
If you’ve got a sports fan who fancies something a bit more original than just their team’s strip, this is the place to go. We also featured Art of Football in one of our Christmas Gift Guides and that was a Welsh rugby design because they also do rugby and boxing artwork.
Ultimate Chocolate Collection
Lily O’Briens | £7 | Website
Who doesn’t love chocolate, right! From dads to grandads, you know they’re going to love this gift! And at just £7, this delicious collection of 16 chocs is great value for money. There is a wonderful variety of flavours and if you’re very good, he might even share some with you! Haha.
Sock Cards
Thortful | £9.99 | Website
Everybody knows that socks and Father’s Day go hand in hand! I’ve been ordering cards online for years but what I like about Thortful is that you can turn any card into sock card (or a chocolate card for that matter). And it isn’t just a card with some socks stuffed in the envelope – it’s all integrated.
The cards are also unique to Thortful because they’re designed by independent creatives who choose to sell through this fabulous website.
It’s not immediately clear how the website works but basically, choose your card design first and then you have the option to change it to a sock card or a chocolate card or keep it as it is.

Five Beer Gift Pack
Wing Yip | £7.98 | Website
With the summer weather on its way, this beer gift pack will go down a treat. It contains five different bottles of Asian beer (approx. 330ml each) and is a great gift set at a great price.
The bottles we received were different to the ones in the photograph so be aware that you are purchasing a selection a five, not necessarily those exact five.
Hydro 5 Sense Energize Razor
Wilkinson Sword | £6 | Website
I do feel sorry for hubby as he’s had the same razor for about the last five years (!) so he really liked testing out the new Hydro 5 Sense. As well as being super flexible (so you get a really close shave), the razor also features a precision trimmer cleverly accessed by flipping the razor head at the top.
I really hope you found some Father’s Day inspiration here so that you’re covered from dads to grandads. Let me know which items jumped out at you the most and what you’ve got lined up for Father’s Day this year (comments section is below).

Thanks for this list Lucy – I really need to pull my socks up and get Fathers Day organised! xx
I love the itty bitties! How cute are they. Fabulous! I want to get some now haha!

Brilliant guide! I think all Dads could use a nice new grooming kit every few months.
That waistcoat is amazing!
#BlogCrush
Love that waistcoat – every man looks good in a waistcoat and they are not used enough in my opinion. Having said that I do not get my husband anything these days as it goes unappreciated and I get neglected on special days so why should I play nice? My Dad was easy to buy for – honey, mustard, craft beer and a good book #BlogCrush
I so needed this post! Absolutely fab ideas #blogcrush
You have a good range of prices and some great ideas here, I know my husband would love that craft beer set. I’m impressed with that portable bbq idea – very cute and ideal match for a VW camper van! I need to get the ball rolling here too. #blogcrush
I love that workshop hook idea. It would clean up the area where he empties out his pockets too. #blogCrush Pinned.
What a great gift guide! I’ve been struggling with ideas for gifts this Father’s Day. You’ve really covered options for every price range and every category. Thanks for the great ideas. #BlogCrush
Thanks for this list, Lucy! A really good range of ideas for the grand dads! #blogcrush xo
So many great gift ideas! We reviewed those itty bitty superheroes last year, they’re so cute! Thanks for this massive list, given me loads of inspiration xx #blogcrush

What a fun list for Father’s Day! I really think the Papa Bear shirt is very cute. My husband would love the Asian Beer giftset (I wish there was a San Miguel in there)! 🙂 I think my dad would like the waistcoat. 🙂
This was so helpful. I never know what to get but this is fantastic thank you 🙂
