BlogCrush Week 87 – 12th October 2018
The blogcrush posts are a little different to my usual content because BlogCrush is a linky (blogging community). This is blogcrush week 87!
About BlogCrush
A linky is like a menu of deliciously tempting blog posts – from Friday morning onwards, bloggers will start to add their posts (you’ll see thumbnails appear at the bottom of this post as each one is added) and you can click and be taken straight to that post. (This beginner’s linky guide is packed full of linky info and tips if you’re feeling a bit confused!).
But the BlogCrush linky is extra special. On other linkies, you just add your own posts as a way to get your name “out there”. But here at BlogCrush, we want to help build up our fellow bloggers too so we ask everyone to add 1 post of their own, and 1 post that has been written by someone else.

The Rules
- Join in with 2 posts:
- 1 post from your blog (personal) – no linkies please
- 1 post from someone else’s blog (your #BlogCrush)

All our linkers are very generous with their time and influence, sharing posts by other people just because it’s a nice thing to do. So, as hosts, we choose one post each from the previous link-up and add it back into the linky as a HOST FEATURED POST.

So many of us fall back on the “We’re going home” threat as a one-size-fits-all way to scare our kids into behaving. But it’s not really fair, is it (and, in all honesty, they know you don’t mean it anyway!). So I wanted to talk about why it’s not a great method, and suggest some kinder, more effective alternatives.
