BlogCrush Week 39 – 10th November 2017
Welcome back fro BlogCrush Week 39. I can’t believe how quickly the weeks are flying by!
This is a linky party which means it’s a place where bloggers can drop a link to one of their posts. Then we all comment on each others posts and everyone is happy. BlogCrush is particularly special, though, because we don’t just add a post of our own – we also link up a post by someone else too. So think of a post that has really resonated with you – did it make you laugh? or cry? or was it super informative? – and then add it to the list as your BlogCrush post. Simples.
If you’ve not joined a linky before, check out my beginner’s linky guide which will tell you everything you need to know 🙂
This week’s hosts are:
- Lucy (Lucy At Home) – @lucy_at_home
- Alice (Letters To My Daughter) – @L2MyDaughter
Below is our “I’ve been featured” blog badge and it is for anyone who has been added to the blogcrush linky by someone else. That means someone has really loved your post, and you defo deserve to shout about that! Just copy the code in the text box and paste it into the HTML / text section of your blog. Go on – you’ve earned it!
#BlogCrush
The Rules
- Join in with 2 posts:
- 1 post from your blog (personal) – no linkies please
- 1 post from someone else’s blog (your #BlogCrush)
- When you add your BlogCrush (post written by someone else) to the InLinkz form, put “BC” at the beginning of their title
- Tweet your BlogCrush (& us) to let them know you’ve added them to the linky ( @lucy_at_home and @L2MyDaughter )
- Comment using the #BlogCrush hashtag on at least these 4 posts:
- 1 post from Host 1 (personal or blogcrush)
- 1 post from Host 2 (personal or blogcrush)
- 2x personal posts from the rest of the link up
- Add the #BlogCrush badge to the post that you’re linking up from your own blog. You can do this by copying the
gobblydygookcode in the box below and pasting it into the HTML view of your post.
Blogcrush Week 39
Featured Posts
As co-hosts we get the lovely job of choosing a post each from the previous linky to be our BlogCrushes. Wendy and I were hosting last week so we’ve chosen the featured posts for BlogCrush Week 39:
Wendy’s Blogcrush post is Stupid Girl by Reflections From Me
Lucy’s Blogcrush post is What To Expect When You’re Adopting by Instant Mum of Two
This is an honest post about the painful wait as an approved adopter, waiting to be matched with your children. It gives a real insight into what it must be like and there are some lessons for all of us in here.
Congratulations, guys! Please collect your “I’ve been featured” badges from the top of the page

Right, and now back to today. My post for BlogCrush Week 39 is Reclaiming York From The Dark Depression Days.
I don’t think I’ve spoken much about my health on the blog yet. It’s a difficult one to talk about and a door that I hope is firmly shut behind me. But in my early twenties, I suffered with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS/ME). For 6 years, I was permanently exhausted and in pain. I was also desperately depressed.
Last week, we visited York (the place where it all happened) and the memories came flooding back. I have been free from CFS/ME for 4 years now, but it’s amazing how sights and sounds can take you straight back to those dark days.
Thank you so much for popping by for BlogCrush Week 39. I love reading all your posts and being part of such a lovely linky. You are all wonderful! Mwah!
Love, Lucy x
hiya. I love Blog Crush. I read all of them but sometimes miss the deadline for adding things!!! This week was my 50th birthday party so Thur/fri/sat/sun were out as the house was full to bursting with people… sometime amidst all that i poured a boiling vat of bolognaise sauce over me and have had to go to hospital everyday for wound dressings!!! There’ll be a blog (of course) however when week 40 opens i have a few Blog Crushes lined up that i want to share with you all and my own blog can go to the back of the queue xxx thanks Team Blogcrush x
