Blogcrush Week 31 – 15th September 2017

Hello, my lovelies, and welcome back – it’s Blogcrush Week 31. I am flying solo this week (eeek!) as Wendy is taking a bit of time off so I’m really glad that you guys have been able to join me.

#Blogcrush is a linky party where you get to promote one of your own posts AND a post written by someone else too. It’s great for building relationships with other bloggers, as well as driving traffic to your own site too. If you’ve not joined a linky before, check out my beginner’s linky guide.

As I’m on my own this week (and possibly for the foreseeable future), I have had to update the rules again so please check them out below.

Below is our “I’ve been featured” blog badge and it is for anyone who has been added to the blogcrush linky by someone else. That means someone has really loved your post, and you defo deserve to shout about that! Just copy the code in the text box and paste it into the HTML / text section of your blog. Go on – you’ve earned it!

Blogcrush Week 31

Featured Posts

Each week, two posts from the linky are selected and added back into the linky the following week as the HOST BLOGCRUSH posts. These posts get lots of extra comments because all linkers have to choose one to comment on. This little perk is reserved for YOUR posts only (i.e. not your blogcrushes). Here are the featured posts for Blogcrush Week 31 –

  • Our First Family Holiday by Feeling Mum Yet

This amazing mum adopted two boys and I have found her blog a real insight into what the adoption system is like in the UK. It has really helped me relate to my friend who also has two adopted children. After the difficult time they’ve had recently, it was lovely to read about their well-deserved family holiday.

  • 5 Reasons Why Employers Turn Down Flexible Working by The Squirmy Popple

Flexible working can make such a massive difference to family life. My hubby actually turned down a higher paid job in favour of staying somewhere that offered flexible hours. I particularly liked this post because, for every obstacle suggested, a solution is offered. I’m sure it will be really helpful to anyone looking at working in a more flexible way.

Congratulations, guys! Please collect your “I’ve been featured” badges from the top of the page

Host Post

As solo host this week, I am adding two host posts so that you can choose which one you’d like to comment on.

Money-saving piggy bank headerMy first post for blogcrush week 31 is 40 Money-Saving Tricks You Might Not Have Tried.

I think most of us are feeling the pinch and, with Christmas (yes I said it!) on the horizon, it’s time to start cutting down on costs and saving up a bit of money. This post is a quick run down of a few simple things we do as a family to make our hard-earned cash go further!

Bloggers Bluff Header E L Feelgood's Vintage on Lucy At HomeMy second host post is Bloggers Bluff 25 ft. E L Feelgood’s Vintage

For those of you who haven’t come across it yet, Bloggers Bluff is my guest-blogger series. Each edition features a new blogger who will tell 3 funny / unusual stories about themselves. Two stories are true and one is a lie. We then invite the readers to guess which the lie is. (If anyone is interested in taking part, I have some slots available in the coming months so just let me know!)

Thank you once again for popping by. I love this little community and having the chance to share some blog love around. We’ve added an extra field into the inlinkz form which asks if the post is your personal or blogcrush post. This is to help give you a prompt to add BC to the relevant title. Hope that helps. Have fun at blogcrush week 31!

Love, Lucy x

P.S. Remember to check add BC to your Blogcrush’s title 🙂
