Blogcrush Week 11 – 28th April 2017

It’s Blogcrush week 11! Welcome to our little linky party. I hope you brought a mug of tea with you to because we’ve had some fantastic posts linked up recently and once you start reading, you won’t want to stop!

#Blogcrush is a place for lots of different bloggers to showcase a post they’ve written, and also to tell us about a quality post they’ve read by someone else. If you scroll down to the bottom of this page, you can see the list of posts. Just click on whatever title takes your fancy and it will take you directly through to that post. Or if you’re a blogger, why not join in with us by clicking the blue “Add a link” button?

If you’re here because someone chose you as their #blogcrush this week, congratulations!  Collect your medal (blog badge) here:

The Rules

  • Join in with 2 posts:
    • 1 post from your blog (personal) – no linkies please
    • 1 post from someone else’s blog (your #BlogCrush)
  • **When you add the URL of your BlogCrush to the InLinkz form, put “BC” at the beginning of their title**
  • Tweet your BlogCrush to let them know you’ve added them to the linky
  • Comment using the #BlogCrush hashtag on at least these 4 posts:
    • 1 of my posts (personal or BC)
    • 1 Wendy’s posts (personal or BC)
    • 1 personal post
    • 1 blog crush post
  • Add the #BlogCrush badge to the post that you’re linking up from your own blog. You can do this by copying the gobblydygook code in the box below and pasting it into the HTML view of your post.

IMPORANT NOTICE: There have been a few people only adding posts from their own site. This isn’t really in the spirit of the #blogcrush linky. Please, please, PLEASE make sure you’re following the linky rules or it spoils it for everyone. Wendy and I don’t want to be the blog police – it makes us sad! If you’re unsure, please tweet me 🙂 You can also check out this post for general info about linky parties.

Blogcrush Week 11

Featured Posts

Each time, Wendy (my fabulous co-host from Naptime Natter) and I pick a post each from the previous #blogcrush link up to feature. There were so many excellent blog posts linked up last week that I’ve really struggled to pick a favourite. If you have a few spare minutes, I definitely recommend popping over to #blogcrush week 10 for a quick read! But here are the two that we chose to feature in Blogcrush Week 11:

Wendy’s #blogcrush is 10 Reasons Why ‘Sleep When Baby Sleeps‘ Is A Stupid Thing To Say by Real Mum Reviews

My #blogcrush is Supermum: A Parody of Julia Donaldson’s Superworm by Rhyming With Wine

Rhyming With Wine is one of my absolute favourite blogs! This fab post is meaningful and thought-provoking, and yet still carries Dawn’s characteristic humour and wit. Amazing! It’s all about the pressure we mums feel to present a perfect picture of ourselves and our children and our homelife – a real must-read!

Congratulations, ladies! Please collect your “I’ve been featured” badges from the top of the page

Host Post

Finally, the post I’m linking up for Blogcrush Week 11 is all about my little act of bravery this week…joining Instagram.

Instagram profile newbie perfectionist blogcrush week 11

Yes I know – I’m way behind, and you lot have all been on it for years, but this little blogger is a little bit scared of stepping out of her comfort zone. In fact this little blogger has been having sleepless nights about Instagram (not an exaggeration) and the fear of failure and not achieving perfection.

So if you have any words of advice and / or comfort, please pop over to the post and help a girl out  and if we’re not connected on Insta yet, let’s sort it out! My handle is @lucyathomeblog
