BlogCrush Week 67 – 25th May 2018

BlogCrush Week 67 is open for business! Thank you for popping over – you are VERY welcome!

About BlogCrush

BlogCrush is a place where bloggers can advertise their posts – the official name is a “linky”. At 6am (BST) on a Friday, a blue button will appear at the bottom of this page saying “add your link” – that means the linky is ready for bloggers to add their work.

– If you’re a blogger, add 2 posts (1 of yours AND 1 by someone else) by clicking on the blue “Add your link” button near the bottom of this post

– If you’re just here to read some fab blogs then keep scrolling and you’ll find the thumbnail links below – each will take you to a different blog post

If you’re new to linkies and you’re not sure how to do it, don’t panic! Check out my beginner’s linky guide for some help and advice, and feel free to message me if you have any specific questions.

Blog Crush linky concept BlogCrush Week 67

This week’s hosts are:

BlogCrush is a little bit different to other linkies. Usually you just add your own posts, but we wanted to create something unique. So often, we really appreciate someone’s work but don’t feel able to tell them. Well BlogCrush is your new way to tell them – add their post here to give them a lovely confidence boost and some extra exposure!

If you’re here because someone nominated you for BlogCrush…

That means they really liked it! Congratulations – you must’ve written something fab! You are under no obligation to do anything, but you have earned the coveted “I was featured on blogcrush” badge. If you’d like to display this on your blog, simply copy the code from the text box below and paste it into the HTML / text section of your blog!

All posts with a pinnable image will be added to the Blogcrush Pinterest Board, and the host’s blogcrushes will be added to the Best of Blogcrush board! We’d love you to follow those boards and the hosts too 🙂

The Rules

  • Join in with 2 posts:
    • 1 post from your blog (personal) – no linkies please
    • 1 post from someone else’s blog (your #BlogCrush)
  • When you add your BlogCrush (post written by someone else) to the InLinkz form, put “BC” at the beginning of their title
  • Tweet your BlogCrush (& us) to let them know you’ve added them to the linky and share their link (@lucy_at_home and @L2MyDaughter). Please tweet us your own BlogCrush posts too so we can share them for you.
  • Comment using the #BlogCrush hashtag on at least these 4 posts:
    • 1 post from Host 1 (personal or BC)
    • 1 post from Host 2 (personal or BC)
    • 2x personal posts from the rest of the link up

So that’s a minimum of 4 posts.

    • Add the #BlogCrush badge to the post that you’re linking up from your own blog. You can do this by copying the gobblydygook code in the box below and pasting it into the HTML view of your post.

Featured Posts

Bloggers are invited to choose any post they wish as their BlogCrush. But as hosts, we choose one of the fab linkers from the previous week and add them back into the linky again as “host featured posts.”

Alice and I were hosting last week so we’ve chosen the featured posts for BlogCrush Week 67:

Alice’s Blogcrush choice is 5 Things Not To Say To Someone Struggling With Depression by Naptime Natter

My Blogcrush choice is What Will You Do Once Your Kids Are Grown? by Liberty on the Lighter Side

In this post, Liberty shares her life plan, as written by her teenage self, and compares it to what actually happened in real life. I love the honesty of this post and the great reminder it is that sometimes our plans don’t come to fruition… but that’s okay too.

Congratulations, ladies! Please collect your “I’ve been featured” badges from the top of the page because you are featured bloggers on BlogCrush Week 67!

Host Post

For BlogCrush Week 67, I’m linking up Mums With L Plates – Our New Facebook Group

Mums With L Plates is a supportive Facebook groups for any mums who are still learning how to do it… which I reckon is pretty much all of us! We just get the hang of one stage and our kids have moved onto the next and we need to find a whole new set of parenting strategies.

I want Mums With L Plates to be safe space for mums (not just blogger mums) to share their worries and be cheered along. There are also opportunities for bloggers to share their posts, acting as a bridge between parenting bloggers and “real life” mums.

Finally, have a read to find out how you can be a part of our new Instagram hashtag community – #mumswithlplates
