BlogCrush Week 62 – 20th April 2018

BlogCrush Week 62 is ready to go! Thanks for popping by and I’m sure you’ll find some great reads here.

About BlogCrush

BlogCrush is a linky party (a place for bloggers to share one of their posts and reach new readers). Once the linky opens (Friday 6am GMT), bloggers can start adding their posts. Just scroll down to the bottom of this post and you’ll see a collection of thumnbnail photos – each photo will take you to a different blogger’s post!

– If you’re a blogger, add 2 posts (yours AND someone else’s) by clicking on the blue “Add your link” button near the bottom of this post

– If you’re just here to read some fab blogs then keep scrolling and you’ll find the thumbnail links below

If you’re a blogger who hasn’t joined a linky before – don’t panic! They’re easy once you get the hang of it but can be a bit confusing at first. Check out my beginner’s linky guide for some help and advice, and feel free to message me if you have any specific questions.

This week’s hosts are:

At BlogCrush, though, we do things a little differently. We want to celebrate the wealth of blogging talent that is out there and share some love on the blogging community. Therefore, we don’t just share our own posts – we also ask each blogger to link up a post that they’ve enjoyed by someone else.

So you might be here because a fellow blogger has added your post.

That means they really liked it and they wanted to give it some extra exposure. You are under no obligation to do anything, but you have earned the coveted “I was featured on blogcrush” badge. If you’d like to display this on your blog, simply copy the code from the text box below and paste it into the HTML / text section of your blog!

All posts with a pinnable image will be added to the Blogcrush Pinterest Board, and the host’s blogcrushes will be added to the Best of Blogcrush board! We’d love you to follow those boards and the hosts too 🙂

The Rules

  • Join in with 2 posts:
    • 1 post from your blog (personal) – no linkies please
    • 1 post from someone else’s blog (your #BlogCrush)
  • When you add your BlogCrush (post written by someone else) to the InLinkz form, put “BC” at the beginning of their title
  • Comment using the #BlogCrush hashtag on at least these 4 posts:
    • 1 post from Host 1 (personal or BC)
    • 1 post from Host 2 (personal or BC)
    • 2x personal posts from the rest of the link up

So that’s a minimum of 4 posts.

    • Add the #BlogCrush badge to the post that you’re linking up from your own blog. You can do this by copying the gobblydygook code in the box below and pasting it into the HTML view of your post.

Featured Posts

Like most linkies, both hosts choose a favourite post from the previous link-up – a featured blogger – to share with the group the following week. Here at BlogCrush, we believe these featured posts should get some extra attention so we add them back into the linky for you as our Host BlogCrush posts. This means you get lots of extra views, shares & comments from our lovely linkers.

Alice and I were hosting last week so we’ve chosen the featured posts for BlogCrush Week 62:

Alice’s Blogcrush choice is Nature vs. Nurture: Are We Fighting A Losing Battle? by Mother (Almost Never) Knows Best

Lucy’s Blogcrush choice is The Son Rises In The West… by Enda Stories

Enda’s son is a very talented sportsman and is being headhunted for his skills. Whilst the family are super proud of him, it also comes with a whole load of worries and pressure. This post was exciting to read and also very relatable as something that all parents worry about in one way or another.

Congratulations to you both! Please collect your “I’ve been featured” badges from the top of the page because you are featured bloggers on BlogCrush Week 62!

Host Post

Today I’m linking up another photo-heavy post about, this time about our holiday in East Yorkshire (and our first ever glamping trip!) – Luxury Family Glamping in Yorkshire at North Star Club

When I hear the word “glamping”, I think of yurts and teepees. But this was so much more than that. You wouldn’t believe what luxury they managed to pack into that beautiful holiday lodge!

Check out the post if you’re interested in a family-friendly holiday in Yorkshire, or if you just love looking at photos of beautiful rooms and elegant decor!

The indoor communal area is called The Woodshed - North Star Club, glamping near York - BlogCrush Week 61

Thanks for linking up with us again at BlogCrush and I hope you all have a lovely weekend.
