Hello and welcome to Blogcrush Week 33. We had a few new linkers last week which was great!
#Blogcrush is a linky party where you get to promote one of your own posts AND a post written by someone else too. It’s great for building relationships with other bloggers, as well as driving traffic to your own site too. If you’ve not joined a linky before, check out my beginner’s linky guide.
Wendy (my co-host) is on a break so you’re stuck with just me again! Haha.
Below is our “I’ve been featured” blog badge and it is for anyone who has been added to the blogcrush linky by someone else. That means someone has really loved your post, and you defo deserve to shout about that! Just copy the code in the text box and paste it into the HTML / text section of your blog. Go on – you’ve earned it!
- Join in with 2 posts:
- 1 post from your blog (personal) – no linkies please
- 1 post from someone else’s blog (your #BlogCrush)
- When you add your BlogCrush (post written by someone else) to the InLinkz form, put “BC” at the beginning of their title
- Tweet your BlogCrush (& me) to let them know you’ve added them to the linky
- Comment using the #BlogCrush hashtag on at least these 4 posts:
- 1 of the Host’s posts
- 1 of the the Host’s Blogcrush posts
- 2x personal posts from the rest of the link up
- Add the #BlogCrush badge to the post that you’re linking up from your own blog. You can do this by copying the
gobblydygookcode in the box below and pasting it into the HTML view of your post.
I’d love to share your posts with my Twitter followers so please tag me in your tweets using the #BlogCrush hashtag. You can find me at @lucy_at_home
Blogcrush Week 33
Each week, I get to choose two fabulous posts from the linky to be my blogcrushes! These are then added back into the linky the following week as the HOST BLOGCRUSH posts. This little perk is reserved for YOUR posts only (i.e. the posts that you add from your own site). Here are the featured posts for Blogcrush Week 33 –
- Dear Lola – Cows Are Cows by Shank You Very Much
Lola is and English Bulldog who has her own advice column! This week she is tackling the difficult issue of a partner who leaves the last drop of milk in the carton so that he doesn’t have to dispose of said-carton…
- Empathy Levels Falling by OMG It’s A Girl
According to a long-term study of students in the US, empathy levels have dropped by 40% in 30 years! This post goes into a bit more detail about the study as well as looking possible reasons and remedies for it.
Congratulations, guys! Please collect your “I’ve been featured” badges from the top of the page
As a solo host again, I am adding two host posts so that you can choose which one you’d like to comment on.
My first post for blogcrush week 33 is I Am Sensitive But I Am Not Weak!
People have this idea that being sensitive is a weakness or that people who are sensitive aren’t robust enough. I beg to differ!
My second host post is a giveaway – Over To The Dark Side With A pBone Mini
My 6yo has just started learning the trombone. But, instead of a brass trombone, she’s using a pBone = plastic trombone. It is lighter, smaller, cheaper, and more hard-wearing than a traditional trombone and yet it is played in the same way and has the same tone. An all-round great beginners instrument. There is a giveaway for UK residents, but the company also ship to lots of other places too.
Thank you so much for popping by for Blogcrush Week 33. I am so grateful to each of you and I hope you all have a fabulous weekend!
Love, Lucy x
