Blogcrush Week 23 – 21st July 2017

Hi guys! Thanks for popping by. This is the #blogcrush linky party and we’re on Blogcrush week 23.

If you’ve never visited a linky party before, it is essentially a list of blog posts all collected in one place. If you’re a blogger, you can add your post to the list in return for following the rules listed below. Check out this beginner’s linky guide if you need a bit of help.

This linky is unique. We ask our bloggers to share 1 post that they’ve written themselves and 1 post that they’ve enjoyed by someone else. That means we get some of the best posts from the whole blogisphere linked up here each week! It also means we have some of the nicest bloggers because they’re all about sharing and building each other up (you guys are amazing!)

This is our prestigious “I was featured” blog badge. You are very welcome to pin it to your blog with pride if you’ve ever been chosen as someone’s #blogcrush 🙂

**PLEASE NOTE THERE IS A RULE CHANGE!**

Last week, Wendy and I had a chat about how to improve this little linky. We are so grateful to all of you who link up and we want to get you as many comments in return as possible. So we’ve decided to change the rules a bit.

We still want you to comment on 4 posts but instead of having to comment on 1 personal post & 1 blogcrush post from the main list, we want you to comment on 2 personal posts.

Old rules

Comment on at least these 4 posts:

  • 1 of the Lucy’s posts (personal or BC)
  • 1 of the Wendy’s posts (personal or BC)
  • 1 personal post
  • 1 blog crush post

New rules

Comment on at least these 4 posts:

  • 1 of the Lucy’s posts (personal or BC)
  • 1 of the Wendy’s posts (personal or BC)
  • 2x personal posts

We figure that you guys deserve some extra comments because you’re the ones doing the hard work of linking up, etc. And the people you’ve blogcrushed will still get at least one comment from the linky because Wendy and I comment on every post that is linked up.

And obviously, the 4 comments is the minimum – feel free to comment on any extra posts you wish. It’s definitely true that the more you put  in, the more you get out.

We hope you like the new rules and that it makes the linky even better for you guys 🙂

Blogcrush Week 23

Featured Posts

Each week, Wendy (my lovely co-host from Naptime Natter) and I pick a post each from the previous #blogcrush link up to feature. That means you get lots of extra comments from our lovely linkers! But remember, this little perk is only for YOUR posts (i.e. not your blogcrushes). Here are the featured posts for Blogcrush Week 23 –

Wendy’s #Blogcrush is The Value Of A Mum by Popcorn For Lunch

My #Blogcrush is How To Work With A Social Worker by Feeling Mum Yet

This blog is all about a family brought together through adoption and I love the honesty that radiates from every page. This particular post is about the role of a social worker within an adoptive family and how it can be both helpful and a cause of tension.

Congratulations, guys! Please collect your “I’ve been featured” badges from the top of the page

Host Post

Finally, the summer is now in full swing and, for our family, that means it’s barbecue season. So my post for blogcrush week 23 is called Barbecue: Mummy Vs. Daddy.

It may be different in your house, but in ours, Mummy and Daddy have very different ideas about how a barbecue should run. Mummy thinks it needs to be quick and efficient so that the kids don’t get bored, whereas daddy thinks it should be a long, drawn-out affair that takes up most of the day.

As a little heads up, the post also includes a SPARKLING WINE GIVEAWAY! Eeek! So feel free to enter that little competition too 🙂

Right I think that’s all the admin stuff so let’s get linking! Thanks for popping over to #blogcrush and I’m looking forward to seeing what wonderful posts you guys have brought along to make Blogcrush week 23 go with a bang!

P.S. Remember to check the NEW RULES before commenting 🙂
