My First Diamond Necklace: A Kiss From Mama

Sponsored Post

Whenever my girls start a new year at school, there’s always a bit of nerves (from them and me!). We know the school holidays are giving way to early mornings, navy blue uniforms, and homework. There are new routines to learn, new timetables to follow, and new classmates to meet.

The change can feel intimidating.

Diamond Necklace for kids and adults - from Molly Brown - modelled by mum

So on the first morning of a new school year, we have a little tradition of drawing a tiny heart on each of our palms. We squeeze that heart when we’re nervous or when we need a confidence boost. It’s a reminder of home; a reminder that somebody out there thinks the world of you.

A kiss to take with you

And when I was contacted by Molly Brown to review their “My First Diamond Necklace”, I couldn’t help but see the similarities. The pendant is shaped like a kiss with a sparkling 1pt diamond sweetly set in the centre.

It will be kiss that they can take with them wherever they go.

It will be a keepsake – something that will tell them over and over again, “Mummy loves you. You are precious. You can do this. I believe in you.”

Many of the Molly Brown pieces can be personalised too, to make them extra special and reinforce this message further.

My First Diamond Necklace review

The First Diamond Necklace arrived in reams of pink tissue paper, a beautiful hand-tied bag, and of course, the all-important hinged box. This really made my daughter squeal with excitement – she knew she was about to receive something special, something to keep forever.

Inside lay a pink taffeta bag, and glistening through the delicate threads, we could see the hallmarked silver of the diamond necklace.

The kiss pendant was smaller than I had anticipated, but is crafted from sterling silver. It is fastened to the chain on both sides of the kiss so there will be no chasing it up and down the necklace and, most importantly, no chance of it slipping off!

My first diamond necklace - christening gift for girls

I think this kiss diamond necklace would make a beautiful Christening necklace, or a thank you gift for Flower Girls. It also works equally well as a special birthday present from a close family member. The chain is 16 inches long (with an adjusted 14 inch setting) which is just the right length to see her through from childhood to adulthood (and here’s a photo of me wearing it for proof!).

I would love to gift this to my precious 7 year old daughter as we are having a really difficult time with her dad. And it’s making her feel really insecure and anxious, not ideal especially at the beginning of the new school year. I always try to reassure her how loved and special she is. Many thanks for this great review and giveaway.

I would love to gift this stunning necklace to my daughter. She is 9 now and very much into beauty, jewellery and fashion. I want to gift this to her because she is one specially young lady! She is a young carer to me and we have such a strong bond! I’d love for her to have her very own genuine diamond necklace to wear so she can know what a diamond she is to me. She will always have a kiss from mama with her.

I would like my daughter to have it because I know she would treasure it, she is very sentimental like her mum, and it would be a keep sake.

I would give the lovely necklace to my great-niece Phoenix as she didn’t get into the school she wanted so left her friends behind. She has already got awards for good behaviour and very good work and we are running out of space to put her certificates. It would be a lovely “well done” present for her.
