After all the wet weather lately, we are looking forward to having a day down on our local beach – and today looks to be a sunny and warm one so we shall pack our buckets, spades and picnic and off we go……

Great list of ideas! I love all your different themes and I could totally get on board with ordering a take away and classing it as a fun family activity! I am so guilty of turning to the TV babysitter when we stay in so thanks for all the ideas xx #blogcrush

My daughter and I took my grandchildren on the Lincoln Knights’ Trail where they explored Lincoln, visiting the Art Gallery, Museum and 3 dozen other areas, hunting the Knights and learning about the Battle of Lincoln. It was great fun for all and we completed the course even though we had to return a second day to do so.

We did lots of nature things. Took the boys for walks and had them undertake prearranged tasks. It kept them busy throughout the summer!
