3ft Felt Christmas Decorations – Review & Giveaway

Collaborative post

Did you know it’s only 11 weeks until Christmas?! I know, I know – you’re all groaning because I’ve mentioned Christmas in October BUT the early bird catches the worm! We’ve been reviewing some gorgeous felt Christmas decorations and I just couldn’t wait to share them with you.

Mushy Moments

Mushy Moments are a parent-owned company based in Sydney, Australia! They pride themselves on making quality products that will last.

Last year, Mushy Moments launched their Felt Christmas Decorations with a beautiful 3ft Christmas Tree. And this year, the range has expanded and they’ve added a 3ft Snowman to their collection too.

We were sent both products to try out. I had thought it would take a while to arrive with the company being on the other side of the world, but it was actually really quick!

Felt Christmas Tree (£17.99)

We started with the Felt Christmas Tree as my 2 year old was drawn to the bright, sparkly colours! You can’t celebrate Christmas without a bit of sparkle!

The green felt tree was covered in small pieces of green Velcro so it was very easy to pop the pieces on. I was desperate to create a nice pattern with the lovely decorations, but my little one was determined to be the one in charge.

I think she did a pretty good job in the end!

Last Christmas, she really struggled to hang the baubles on our Christmas Tree because the strings kept twisting. I was also worried about her dropping them. This is the perfect solution! We have already agreed that this will be Charis’s tree when it comes to getting the Christmas things out for real.

The felt wasn’t quite as thick and fluffy as I was expecting but I think that’s because it had the sparkly coating on it.

Felt Snowman (£17.99)

The felt Snowman is so cute. He has red buttons, a black top hat, and, of course, a carrot for a nose.

Being the Frozen-mad family that we are, we had Do You Wanna Build A Snowman? blaring out at full volume to really help us get into the wintry mood.

I wasn’t sure how my 3yo would find this one as the pieces need to be placed in specific places, unlike the Christmas tree. But actually, she did really well and was very pleased with herself once it was done.

She enjoyed working out where each piece needed to go, and it really does look fab once it’s completed. I think this will be a lovely Christmassy activity for the girls when the dark nights start drawing in.

We decorate the tree while having mulled wine and listening to Dr Demento’s Greatest Christmas Novelty Songs. It has all our favourites including Grandma got run over by a Reindeer, All I want for Christmas is my 2 Front Teeth and a hilarious version of The 12 Days of Christmas by Alan Shearer where he gets the most awful gifts. Even though we know all the words it still has us giggling and really gets us in a festive mood.

I love putting up the decorations and helping the kids make their own too. Also putting the mince pie and cup of milk out ready for santa, even though he forgot to eat and drink it last year lol

Christmas Eve films, new pj’s and reading Twas the night before Christmas. Tradition since I was a kid and now passing it on to my own daughter who will be celebrating her 2nd Christmas this year 🙂

We have a number of Christmas traditions.
First the decorating of the tree is a full family affair and I also still go and decorate my parents tree with them.
No presents until after breakfast whatever time it is!
    Always watch the Queen.

We love making reindeer food – oats and glitter mixed together and sprinkled on the lawn on Christmas Eve so that Santa’s reindeer can see it and be enticed to visit our house!

It’s so hard to pick just one because they’re all so special but maybe christmas eve – snuggling up with a christmas film and the tree lights on, making cookies for santa with the kids (and eating them after they’ve gone to bed haha), having a hot chocolate with our christmas bedtime story. I’m so excited!

Going to the forest and picking out Christmas Tree! Haven’t been able to do that recently with a toddler running around, but next year it should be back on the agenda.

We always make a decoration each every year so when they older and my tree is full they can see how beautiful it is all made by them growing up xx

I love Christmas Eve, we have the fire on, the Christmas candles lit and we enjoy food and drinks while opening a couple of presents to get us ready for the big day

We live in the southern part of the country where it never snows. Having Christmas without the snow is unimaginable to my family, so EVERY winter (Christmas time) we travel an hour to the Dartmoor National park (the moors) to sledge (if the snow is thick enough), build Snowmen and enjoy winter fun. It’s really wonderful as a lot of people, like us, come to enjoy winter wonderland so it always end up to be one big snowballing party :).

Going to sound very silly, but hiding a Christmas present so it’s found in January when you’re doing the big tidy up after New Year. When I was younger “Santa” decided to hide 2 presents (in 2 different years) so I always got an extra one. One year I really wanted some stilts (plant pot type – showing my age now) and was a bit “upset” that I didn’t get any for Christmas as that was my main present wish (even though they were very cheap even then). Turns out my Mum had bought me some BUT had forgotten where she had put them. She had put them in the shed so I couldn’t find them. Obviously when she needed to go back into the shed, she found them. Ended up being an Easter present instead.

Going out to buy our Christmas Tree on the 12th of December and decorating it with a mulled wine, hot chocolate for the kids and mince pies x
