Blogcrush Week 25 – 4th August 2017

HOW are we in August already? I feel like the year is whizzing by! This is Blogcrush week 25 and thank you so much for joining us 🙂

If you’ve never joined a linky party before, it is basically a list of blog posts all collected in one place. If you’re a blogger, you can add your post to the list in return for following the rules listed below. Check out this beginner’s linky guide if you need a bit of help. If you’re just here to have a read of the fab blogs here, then be my guest! Click on the thumbnails below to be taken directly to each blog post.

This linky is totes unique. Linkies are a great way for bloggers to get their work seen. But this linky is also a brilliant way to build friendships with other bloggers and share some extra blog love around. We ask our bloggers to share 1 post that they’ve written themselves and 1 post that they’ve enjoyed by someone else.

If someone has added one of your posts to the linky as their blogcrush, please collect your “I’ve been featured” blog badge here. Just copy the code in the text box and paste it into the HTML / text section of your blog.

**PLEASE NOTE THERE IS A RULE CHANGE!**

For the last few weeks, Wendy and I have been trialing a new format. It’s working really well so we’re sticking with it! It means that the people in our little blogcrush community get lots more comments.

We still want you to comment on 4 posts but instead of having to comment on 1 personal post & 1 blogcrush post from the main list, we want you to comment on 2 personal posts.

Old rules

Comment on at least these 4 posts:

  • 1 of the Lucy’s posts (personal or BC)
  • 1 of the Wendy’s posts (personal or BC)
  • 1 personal post
  • 1 blog crush post

New rules

Comment on at least these 4 posts:

  • 1 of the Lucy’s posts (personal or BC)
  • 1 of the Wendy’s posts (personal or BC)
  • 2x personal posts

We figure that you guys deserve some extra comments because you’re the ones doing the hard work of linking up, etc. And the people you’ve blogcrushed will still get at least one comment from the linky because Wendy and I comment on every post that is linked up.

And obviously, the 4 comments is the minimum – feel free to comment on any extra posts you wish. It’s definitely true that the more you put  in, the more you get out.

We hope you like the new rules and that it makes the linky even better for you guys 🙂 Your feedback is always appreciated so feel free to tweet us / comment with your thoughts.

  • Add the #BlogCrush badge to the post that you’re linking up from your own blog. You can do this by copying the gobblydygook code in the box below and pasting it into the HTML view of your post.

Blogcrush Week 25

Featured Posts

Each week, Wendy (my fabulous co-host from Naptime Natter) and I pick a post each from the previous #blogcrush link-up to feature. That means you get lots of extra comments from our lovely linkers! But remember, this little perk is only for YOUR posts (i.e. not your blogcrushes). Here are the featured posts for Blogcrush Week 25 –

Wendy’s #Blogcrush is They Steal Our Sanity Along With Our Hearts #mummyshot by Reflections From Me

My #Blogcrush is The Shame Of Mummy Rage by The Mummy Bubble

I actually chose this post yesterday as I was doing my #blogcrush commenting, but it feels even closer to home today! Our kids don’t understand that they can’t have everything now, or that Mummy has other responsibilities besides playing. We know that they don’t understand, but it can still be hard to be patient through the constant wittering.

Sometimes, it all gets just a bit too much. This honest, inspirational, encouraging post will give you the boost you need to keep on trying.

Congratulations, guys! Please collect your “I’ve been featured” badges from the top of the page

Host Post

Finally, my post for blogcrush week 25 is: I Never Thought I’d See You On Stage.

My biggest girl, Jenny, had a complete melt down at the end of term because she was asked to dance on stage. She’s never enjoyed the spotlight but the pressure of performing in a competition just pushed her over the edge…

Thanks once again for linking up with us at #blogcrush. You guys are just so lovely and leave so many thoughtful comments across the blogging world. I hope you enjoy being a part of blogcrush week 25.

P.S. Remember to check the NEW RULES before commenting 🙂
